Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu
- Arrive in Kathmandu. Visit Pashupatinath Temple for the evening aarti. Overnight at Hotel Manaslu or similar.
Day 2: Kathmandu to Timure
- Drive 160 km to the Nepal-China border town of Timure. Scenic mountain roads. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 3: Cross into Tibet and Drive to Kyirong
- Complete immigration formalities and enter Tibet. Drive 26 km to Kyirong. Rest and overnight stay.
Day 4: Acclimatization in Kyirong
- A full rest day for altitude acclimatization. Explore local monasteries and relax.
Day 5: Drive to Saga
- Drive 180 km to Saga (4,500m), crossing high mountain passes. Overnight stay at Hotel Lunbu Gangri.
Day 6: Saga to Lake Mansarovar
- A memorable 7-hour drive (545 km) through breathtaking terrain to reach Lake Mansarovar. Holy dip and spiritual rituals. Stay near Chiu Gompa.
Day 7: Mansarovar to Darchen
- Morning rituals at the lake. After lunch, drive 37 km to Darchen, base town for the Kailash Parikrama.
Day 8: Darchen to Deraphuk – Parikrama Begins
- Drive to Yama Dwar (Tarboche), begin 13 km trek to Deraphuk. Stunning views of Mount Kailash’s north face.
Day 9: Deraphuk to Zutulphuk
- The most challenging day. Trek 22 km crossing Dolma-La Pass (5,630m) and Gauri Kund. Overnight at Ganditse Guesthouse.
Day 10: Complete Parikrama and Drive to Saga
- Final 7 km trek to end parikrama. Reunite with group at Darchen. Drive 491 km back to Saga.
Day 11: Drive to Timure/Syabrubesi
- Return drive via Kyirong. Overnight at Syabrubesi or Timure.
Day 12: Return to Kathmandu
- Drive back to Kathmandu. Evening visit to Budhanilkantha (Sleeping Vishnu).
Day 13: Departure from Kathmandu
- Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for departure.
